Findmypast.co.uk has an extensive military records section. A cross-database search allows you to search all our military records at once.
In ‘search all military records 1656-1994’ enter the first and last name that you’re searching for, and narrow down the search with further details if necessary.
Click ‘search’ to reveal which of the military databases have matches for this name.
Click ‘view results’ to choose the results you want to display. The results screen will look similar to the image below:
Click ‘view’ to select which record you’d like to see. Here’s an example record from our ‘Soldiers Died in the Great War’ records:
