Basketmakers' Company apprenticeships

The records of this company are deposited at the Guildhall Library. One volume (GL Ms 2877) contains the whole of the early apprenticeship records of the Company, from 1639-1824. There are, however, gaps from 1657 to 1673 and 1677 to 1679, which are apparently not filled by any other record, the court minutes not beginning until 1681. There is also a gap from 1799 to 1811, but this seems likely to be due to there being no apprenticeships in that period, rather than a loss of records.
