Surveys

Records in this collection

Findmypast's survey records include details of over 70,000 families living in London, in Boyd's Family Units, between 1200 and 1946. As well as inhabitants of London, they may also link families outside of London to those who migrated to the capital.

If you are lucky enough to have discovered family members living in these early London records, the information you might find relating to them includes: date and place of birth, date and place of death, names of mother and father, wife's details, education, occupation, children's names and dates of birth / baptism and perhaps even notes regarding the details of their will.

We will be adding more survey records to this section in the coming months, so it is always worth checking back to see if any area that you have an interest has been included in the collection.
