As a Genealogist, the ability to work full time in the industry I love is exciting, but even more so, it allows me to be a part of something much larger: preserving history for us and for future generations. It’s an honor to be part of the effort in saving the human story, a story we each have a part in. It’s an incredible legacy, and one that will live on for countless generations.
I’ve loved working here since 2013. I get to bring family history to life for our customers while flexing my creative and strategic muscles. I’m based in Ireland and my team are scattered across our other offices but that doesn’t affect our collaboration – we’re a tight-knit bunch who work well together and have plenty of fun along the way.
I really love how #behuman is at the core of Findmypast’s values. I not only feel encouraged and supported to grow professionally, I also feel genuinely valued, respected and trusted as an individual. The culture really allows space for personal contributions – I even managed to bring in my passion for environmental issues by co-founding a green activities group! The opportunities are really endless.
I feel lucky to be at such an engaging and dynamic place. We’re all given the chance to work with a variety of different technologies in a genuinely supportive atmosphere. Everyone has the opportunity to share their thoughts too, which leads to a range of diverse and interesting ideas. I’ve really enjoyed working with Findmypast since I started in 2014. It supports flexible working which as a parent, helps me achieve a good work-life balance. As a Product Owner, I collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure we create great customer experiences. My main area of focus is creating a seamless purchase-to-pay experience.
