The survey of St Matthew’s cemetery and columbarium in Sherwood in Brisbane was originally undertaken by the Queensland Family History Society in 1979. This transcript is based on that original work with later monuments added to bring the inscriptions up to November 1995.
A church has stood on the site since around 1869 but the current church and graveyard date from 1923.
The transcript covers both the inscriptions on the gravestones and those on the columbarium wall marking those who were cremated.
