Billingshurst Local History Society

We are pleased to be working in partnership with the Billingshurst Local History Soccer, situated in East Sussex.

Billingshurst is situated in a unique and beautiful part of West Sussex within easy reach of the South Downs and some of the country's most impressive county house and estates, such as Petworth and Parham.

The group meet once a month in Billingshurst Village Hall where speakers cover topics pertaining to West Sussex/family history/local history. All visitors are welcome.

They also study local records and have completed some work on transcribing land tax records to abstract the names of owners and occupiers, have parish registers for baptisms, marriages, burials and also probate records.
