What about people in the 1921 Census who are still alive?

The long-accepted assumption of 100 years for life means that records can be opened 100 years and 1 day from the date of birth of the individual. For more information on this, please see the Guide to Archiving Personal Data, which explains this assumption in practice. Living people aged more than 100 who would like their records in the 1921 Census of England and Wales to be taken down so they are no longer available to be searched or viewed, can make a request for this to be done by contacting the Findmypast customer support team.
